In the organizer's words:

Emotions shape our politics - and apparently to an increasing extent. Time to take a closer look at the power of emotions over the past 100 years. The exhibition by historians Ute and Bettina Frevert sheds light on twenty emotions and their historical development, including anger, fear and sadness, but also hope, solidarity and trust. This reveals continuities and ruptures in the emotional worlds that shaped the past and whose intensity challenges politics and society today.
The exhibition "The Power of Emotions. Germany 19 I 19" was organized by the Foundation "Remembrance, Responsibility and Future" and the Federal Foundation for the Reappraisal of the SED Dictatorship.
