What happens when you simply let art, conversation, performance and irritation run for 24 hours?

Jan Böhmermann & Gruppe Royale, the makers of ZDF Magazin Royale, will occupy the Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW) in Berlin from 27 September to 19 October 2025 with the exhibition Die Möglichkeit der Unvernunft (The Possibility of Unreason ) and an extensive program of events.

24HKW is a cultural format for the brave, the curious and the nocturnal.

For all those who want to experience art before it has been labeled, edited or explained.

For 24 hours, artists, thinkers and performers will appear in the Miriam Makeba Auditorium at HKW - one after the other, non-stop. Interested parties book a 3-hour slot in advance. They will only find out which performance they will see on site.

Anything can happen: a reading, a discussion, a live podcast, a musical moment, a radical monologue or collective silence.
