Film screening and discussion

In 1992, two right-wing extremists carried out an arson attack in Mölln, Schleswig-Holstein, killing three people and seriously injuring nine. Almost a thousand people who did not know the victims personally wrote letters to the survivors. As the original address no longer existed, the Mölln city council opened the letters, replied with a standard letter and handed them over to the city archives. The film follows İbrahim Arslan, one of the survivors, who found out about the letters by chance in 2016. In 2025, the film received the Panorama Audience Award at the Berlinale and the Amnesty International Film Prize.
