Nowak moves between chanson, pop and indie and tells of our present with sharp images. Her voice sounds like hot mulled wine on silk pyjamas, her lyrics cut through the jungle of consumer society. In her songs, gravel gardens become flower meadows, old lovesickness is dissected, dreams are gently but firmly brought back down to earth. Nowak is headstrong, a little eccentric and that is precisely why she is so magnetic. An intense evening that irritates, touches and resonates.
