Die Odyssee

In the organizer's words:

The play tells of crossing borders, the dangers faced by the homeless and the search for places that welcome you. It is about fleeing, arriving and the long wait for family members who are missing. War destroys families, tears loved ones apart and leaves gaps. The ancient tale is not told here from the point of view of Odysseus, but from the perspective of those left behind: the children who search, doubt and hope. They wander between worlds, are border crossers, travelers, modern nomads who have to constantly reassemble their identity. What does it mean to lose your home? To find yourself in the in-between, dependent on the hospitality of others? What does it mean to be a stranger and not be seen for what you can and bring with you? "The Odyssey" is a theatrical journey. The audience moves in groups through various stations in the FAT CAT and experiences the ancient story in connection with the personal stories of the performers - fragmentary, close, physical and multilingual.
