Due to an all too stupid misunderstanding, young Frederic completed his training with the pirates instead of "in private". Now that he has finished his training, he wants to hang up his grappling hook and set course for the fair lady. He immediately meets her in the form of the Major General's daughter Mabel, whose father's unfortunate aim is to put an end to all pirates once and for all.

The musical buccaneer satire "The Pirates of Penzance" is undoubtedly one of the highlights from the oeuvre of the British author duo "Gilbert & Sullivan", who shaped English-language musical entertainment theater in the 19th century. An absurdly witty plot full of sharp-tongued British humor meets witty, catchy songs - and the result is a virtuoso pirate nonsense that is just as much fun today as it was back then!
