DIE STERNSTUNDE DES JOSEF BIEDER
In the organizer's words:
Written by: Eberhard Streul and Otto Schenk
Director: Karl-Heinz Krause
A mistake by the theater office leads to prop master Josef Bieder accidentally finding himself in front of an expectant audience one evening. What now? Just disappear? No! This is his chance to tell his story and share his perspective on the microcosm of theater with the world. And so Josef Bieder’s 40 years of theater experience pour out onto his audience: his tricks for making theatrical blood, his love of ballet, his frustration with power struggles backstage, and the moments—big and small—of certain opera singers.
The defining moment of an aging prop master who steps out of the darkness and into the light.
A captivating declaration of love for the theater.
