As part of the festival, we invite you to join our special workshop series, open to all levels of experience! No matter whether you already dance a lot or simply want to try out new approaches to movement: Here you can get creative, be inspired by the festival artists and learn directly from their unique ways of working.
The four-hour workshops will give you a practical insight into the techniques, movements and ideas behind the performances. The workshops take place in the theater spaces of the EISFABRIK, exactly where the performances are presented. An inspiring environment to try things out, discover yourself and exchange ideas with other dance enthusiasts.
The workshops are held in English and German and offer you an uncomplicated way to learn new dance techniques and develop creatively.

Sebastián Rowinsky - Workshop

This workshop explores the relationship between body and space, with a special focus on the floor as the starting point and partner of movement.

Breathing, spirals, tempo, energy flow and simple movement patterns create a physical approach to strength, control and lightness. The connection to the other dancers in the room also takes center stage: perceiving, reacting, moving together.

From a centered state, the dancers explore how movement is efficiently created in and out of the floor. Between stability and expansion, closeness and opening, calm and dynamism.

The movement language combines contemporary dance with elements of floorwork and martial arts and invites you to discover new ways of strength, flow and physical presence.

The workshop is open to all levels of experience and is suitable for beginners as well as experienced dancers.
