Play based on a thriller by Agatha Christie

Neville Strange takes a trip of several days to Gull's Point, the country estate of his heiress Lady Tressilian. The stay is intended to help his ex-wife Audrey and his new wife Kay put their conflicts behind them. But instead of the hoped-for harmony, tensions increase. The situation escalates when a bestial murder finally takes place.

"It didn't used to be like this. Men had affairs, of course, but they didn't break up marriages."

"Shortly before Zero" is a nerve-wracking thriller that explores the psychology of jealousy in the shadow of a brutal crime and slowly reveals the cruel abysses of all the characters.

Agatha Christie - who doesn't know her?

Agatha Christie is known worldwide as the "Queen of Crime" and is the most successful author of all time with over two billion books sold. She wrote 66 crime novels, more than 150 short stories, over 30 plays and six novels under the pseudonym Mary Westmacott.

Her debut novel "The Missing Link in the Chain" (1920) introduced the legendary detective Hercule Poirot. She later created Miss Marple, another cult figure in crime fiction. Her international breakthrough came in 1926 with "Alibi", also on stage in London's West End.

Her most famous play, "The Mousetrap" (1952), is still the longest continuously performed play in the world. Agatha Christie was made a Dame in 1971; she died in 1976.

was founded in Hanover in November 2007 and appeals to a wide audience with its productions, as it performs a variety of genres. For example, the crime thriller "And then there was no more" by Agatha Christie or the family play "Merry Christmas, Mr. Scrooge" by Marc Gruppe. The drama "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" won the Audience Award at the Faust Festival in Hanover. Vinolentia's backstage productions included "Der Gott des Gemetzels", "Der Tod und das Mädchen" and "Die Agentur".
