Climate tipping points—such as changes in Atlantic circulation, the melting of the polar ice sheets, or the Amazon rainforest—are often discussed at the global level. But what could these changes mean for our cities, our neighborhoods, and our daily lives? 

This interactive public workshop brings together researchers from the fields of climate science, landscape architecture, and sustainable construction to explore how global changes in the Earth system relate to local action. Through short scientific presentations, a moderated panel discussion, and an open exchange with the audience, we will explore climate adaptation, urban resilience, and the role of communities, public spaces, buildings, and urban planning in shaping a more resilient future. 

The workshop is designed as a collective thought experiment. Rather than providing simple answers, the event invites participants to think across different scales—from the Earth system down to the neighborhood—and to explore how global climate change can influence local decisions. Join us as we discuss and reflect together on the future of our cities this evening.
