Diego Alejandro is a bassist, jazz composer, painter, and producer from Chile, currently based in Leipzig and Berlin (Germany). His sound, characterized by futuristic soundscapes, jazz fusion, lo-fi, neo-soul, and soulful melodies, draws on South American rhythms and soothing, free experimentation.

With a profound love for music, he weaves a captivating tapestry of cinematic harmonies and melodies, complexly juxtaposed against mathematical rhythms and progressive influences, all while maintaining the groove, elegance, and good taste. He collaborates with a wide variety of artists from his neighborhood and around the world. In 2019, he released his first album as a composer, Parresía’s “Entre planetas y cunetas,”

Diego Alejandro’s latest release, featuring Kota No Uta (Apple), was played on BBC 2 on Jamie Cullum’s show, Jazzfmuk with Chris Philips. He also performed a live session at the Ost Passage Theater, contributed to the “Noname” track on the “Golden Rules” compilation, and released “Original 5.” He participated in the “7THEX” artistic residency organized by Xjazz and is currently working on a new album set for release in April.
