In the organizer's words:

Driven by a love of the lo-fi synthesizer music of the 1980s and the reduced song structures of nowave and Neue Deutsche Welle, the protopunk of the late 1970s and early Manchester rave, DRY SKIN play sometimes driving, sometimes pounding and sometimes flying new wave.

Thematically, the band's leader Robert E. Smith reflects his surroundings: a hyper-capitalist world confronted with the veto of the countries it has exploited for decades, ridiculous real estate markets, neo-fascist groups, people in search of a better future and the individual in all this, trying to find his way through the bubbles.
