The world is enlightened and safe. Or is it? World War II is on the curriculum in history lessons. The pupils agree that there would no longer be a dictatorship in Germany today. To prove how easily people can be seduced, manipulated and instrumentalized, the teacher starts an experiment that eventually gets out of control.
The bestseller "The Wave", published in 1981, is based on a real experiment conducted by teacher Ron Jones at a Californian high school in 1967. #DIEWELLE2025, based on the modern text version by GRIPS Theater, brings the story into the here and now.
