On 15.06.2026, the cultural space "die flora" in Gelsenkirchen will be transformed into a café with a digital experience market. The Equal Opportunities Office of the City of Gelsenkirchen and Generationennetz Gelsenkirchen e.V. invite you to an interactive event under the motto "Digitally secure & self-determined in old age".

From 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., visitors can expect an open format for information, experimentation and exchange. The focus will be on questions relating to everyday digital life: How do I recognize fraudulent websites? What are phishing emails? How do I protect my data? And how can I use digital services - for example in the healthcare sector - safely?

Experts will be on hand at various stations to provide practical tips and answer individual questions. A café area with coffee and cake invites you to chat and get personal support.

The event is particularly aimed at older people, their relatives and anyone else who is interested. No prior knowledge is required. Free admission.
