Dim sum is a specialty of Cantonese cuisine and literally means "little heart warmers". The appetizers are mainly small pastry bags or pockets that are served with a wide variety of fillings. The delicious vegan dim sums are super tasty and low in fat: soft steamed buns (bao zi) filled with Asian-style mushrooms, crispy spring rolls (chun juan) filled with a mixture of vegetables, mushrooms and glass noodles, accompanied by the three-colored steamed dumpling (shumai) and a refreshing silken tofu salad.

- Fluffy baozi with tofu and vegetable filling
- Shumai with shiitake mushrooms and sticky rice
Yaxin Yang
Yaxin Yang, born and raised in Beijing in 1977, cookbook author and nutritionist for vegetarian and vegan dishes. Experiencing and experimenting, developing authentic Chinese food with selected organic and regional ingredients for health and well-being is her passion and the expression of her cooking style.
