The two theologians see the topic of "building bridges" as one of the most important and greatest challenges of our time. They see this as both a personal and a social and church-political task. With their impulses, they invite people to build bridges in partnerships and families, in the neighborhood or in the community. They also encourage guests to discuss this topic with their own experiences and ideas.

Petra and Theo Dierkes have been married for 37 years and have three children and four grandchildren. Both are retired. Petra Dierkes was head of the pastoral care department in the Archdiocese of Cologne for a long time, while Theo Dierkes worked as a journalist and church expert at WDR until January 1, 2025.
