For 20 years, Dirik Schilgen JazzGrooves has stood for colorful, grooving modern jazz with influences from soul, Brazilian and Latin. The ensemble delivers its electrifying sound with a top-class line-up and special guest on saxophone: Thomas Langer's finely nuanced guitar and Johannes Müller's expressive saxophone create an unmistakable, two-part sound line full of drive and elegance. Matthias TC Debus delivers virtuoso depth and stylistic variety on bass, while bandleader Dirik Schilgen combines rhythmic tension and lightness with his unique drum and percussion setup.
