DISILLUSION can look back on a long and eventful history full of highlights. Their debut album BACK TO TIMES OF SPLENDOR (2004) set new standards in progressive death metal: an epic concept album full of emotions - from fragile, touching moments to brutal, powerful passages - that was hailed by Metal Hammer as one of the best German metal albums of all time. More recently, their albums THE LIBERATION and AYAM landed in the German album charts. In 2022, the band successfully toured Europe with Obscura and Persefone, and in 2024 they celebrated the 20th anniversary of BACK TO TIMES OF SPLENDOR with an almost completely sold-out anniversary tour. In the same year, they released an instrumental version of AYAM, which brought previously hidden nuances of the album to the fore. Looking to the future, 2026 marks another important milestone: GLORIA, DISILLUSION's second album, turns 20 years old. This groundbreaking album, which showcased the band's versatility and experimental spirit, has since achieved cult status among fans. DISILLUSION are currently working hard on their fifth studio album. The anticipation is great, because with each independent release, the band has grown, explored new dimensions and continuously transformed into something even greater
