Drum grooves, post punk, experimental, kraut

Chris Imler, standing drummer, dandy with an offbeat and "grand seigneur of the Berlin underground" (taz), accentuated countless Berlin music affairs long before the fall of the Berlin Wall and has been playing the stages of Europe as a solo artist for a decade. Imler says yes to cheerful imposition, an attitude that "preserves the fire instead of worshipping the ashes" (G. Mahler). Entirely in the tradition of the more experimental and electronic post-punk flank in which Imler and his unique groove stand.

The Internet Will Break My Heart, Chris Imler's latest album, released on February 28, 2025 on Fun in the Church / Moli del Tro, marks the steepest artistic stage to date. We see a man whose entire oeuvre is a late work at the dizzying heights of his game.
