DJ WORKSHOP (Intermediate) DECKS + FEEDBACK

You've learned the basics. Now let's actually mix and get feedback.

‍
This intermediate workshop picks up where the beginner session left off. In 75 minutes, DNA. Member CZECH STRINGS takes you straight into the practical side—no theory recap, no equipment walkthrough. If you know how to beatmatch and have made your first transition, you’re ready for this.

The focus is hands-on from the very beginning.

Everyone works closely together around the decks with CZECH STRINGS. The session is tailored to the music you bring and your current skill level. Expect to actually mix—not just watch.

WE WILL WORK ON:

• Advanced mixing techniques—including hot cues, EQ mixing, and longer, more controlled transitions
• Harmonic mixing — using key compatibility and track selection to make your sets sound more musical
• Your own music — learning to work with the tracks you actually play and building confidence behind the decks

EQUIPMENT:

We’ll be working with aPioneer DJ XDJ-RR, which can be used with USB drives and Rekordbox.

WHAT YOU NEED:

Nothing is required. If you’d like to bring your own music on a USB drive, you’re welcome to, but it will only work if the drive is formatted as MS-DOS (FAT) / FAT32 and the tracks have been analyzed in Rekordbox beforehand. If that doesn’t mean anything to you right now, don’t worry. There’s plenty of music ready to go.

‍

You’ve started. Now take it further.
