With “Ipse am Ufer,” a lost venue returns to the Spree—under the open sky and, in this case, right on the water. Berlin-based DJ Ruede Hagelstein has decided to host his next comedy reading from a boat. So, for July 31, tickets for “Ipse am Ufer” are available both on land and on the water.

What’s it about?

A Berlin DJ is going through a midlife crisis: no money, no gigs, and a desperate attempt to stay relevant. In *DJs Are Dead*, the protagonist has set out to keep up with TikTok at 150 BPM while wearing a mesh shirt. After a rough landing in Ibiza, he returns to his hometown in the second part of the book—with a dead body in an ice cream truck. Ruede Hagelstein will read from his existing and upcoming books and supplement this, as he calls it, with DJ comedy.

Ruede will also be sitting on a raft, right in front of the small Ipse lakeside “Colosseum,” surrounded by a few boats.
