Doug Munrow (Caleb Landry Jones), the titular DogMan, is stopped by the police at the wheel of a truck - dressed as a woman, with tons of dogs in the hold and gunshot wounds in his body. Under interrogation, he tells his life story: of his choleric father who locked him in a kennel as a child, of disappointed love, of his penchant for performing on stage and, above all, of his love for dogs, which he always prefers to people.
At once an outsider drama, thriller and surreal comedy, but also with action scenes, vocal performances, animal tricks, Shakespeare quotes and religious iconography, and above all the outstanding acting of Caleb Landry Jones. Unadorned, wild, raw!
