From June 26 to August 7, we will be showing four audience favorites from the last festival program - in the open air and on the big screen. Discover the whole program here.
"Who are you to dare to change anything?" Yisrael Meir Lau, once Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi of Israel, is furious about non-Orthodox efforts in Judaism. His nephew, the queer activist Amichai Lau-Lavie, gives an answer that packs a punch: born on Israel's Independence Day in 1961, 38 generations of rabbis on his pedigree, son of a Holocaust survivor, drag queen, now also an ordained rabbi and spiritual leader of a non-denominational Jewish community in New York. Amichai wants to be a "virus in the system" in order to break patriarchal traditions and make Judaism more humane and open. His drag alter ego warns: "Redemption only comes by crossing boundaries!"
