Dortmund unplugged
In the organizer's words:
Dortmund unplugged on 12.06.2026
"Dortmund Unplugged" is a concert series in Long August that focuses on local artists. Every second Friday of the month, three acts present a 30-minute program with acoustic instruments, their own songs and close proximity to the audience. "Dortmund Unplugged" promotes the diversity and creativity of Dortmund's singer/songwriter scene. It creates a platform for local talents to present themselves and build a close bond between artists and listeners. The series is hosted by Hans Blücher, Boris Gott and a team from Nordmarkt Records and Musiksyndikat Ruhr.
Galenhaus, Anna Lisa Azur and Ranfis will perform on 12.06.2026.
The band GALENHAUS make partly quiet-melancholic, partly dissonant-scraping, German-language indie stuff, which they describe - to avoid embarrassing self-descriptions - as post-Hamburg school.
Premiere at Dortmund Unplugged: With ANNA LISA AZUR, poetry is on the program for the first time. The poet will read from her texts, for which she has received several awards - including one at the Leipzig Book Fair in 2024 for her work "Der 5.
RANFIS Pérez is a singer-songwriter from Guatemala City and has recently moved to Dortmund. He combines poetic lyrics with alternative sounds. His music is mostly in Spanish - he is currently working on a new album.
