Drag What? Drag men's day!

On 14.05.2026 from 14 to 18h MisterButchJay is planning a DRAG counter action to the traditional Men's Day.

Similar to the DragKingRace, it will be a kind of competition in which teams of 2 drag people each take part. With activities such as drag ball tournaments, egg swings, arm wrestling, drinking non-alcoholic beer, etc.

The whole thing will be hosted by MisterButchJay with Mama Ulita at his side as co-host.

Jay wants to set an example as Leipzig's Drag Daddy, who was born last year by the neo-burlesque performer LadyBitchJay and was elected Drag Icon of CSD Leipzig in summer 2025.

It aims to be an inclusive, open-air, public event and provide a sanctuary for all flinta*s, kids, grannies, moms, families and anyone who wants to escape the toxic behaviors of drunken male groups on the day. The venue is the Ostwache Leipzig e.V. sponsored by the Cultural Office of the City of Leipzig.

The aim is to critically examine typical male behavior, using drag performances as a means of implementation. It therefore has an indirect educational mission with participatory elements, e.g. arm wrestling tournaments or make-up activities for moustaches and moustaches.

As this event is open to the public and accessible to all, there will be no entrance fee/revenue.
