Subtle swing, jazz of the 30s. The musicians in this band have been active in the Berlin jazz scene for decades and founded a swing trio together in 2016 with clarinet, piano and double bass. They play jazz as it was popular in the 30s and 40s.
the 30s and 40s. The numerous small bands of the swing era, the so-called Small Swinging Groups, with their largely freely improvised recordings of well-known jazz pieces, serve as a model. These include, of course, "Basin Street Blues" (fitting for the homepage), the inevitable "All Of Me" and classics such as "Lady Be Good", "Sweet Georgia Brown" and "Mood Indigo". But less familiar titles were also dug up - who knows "Sweet And Slow"?Their trademark is their unobtrusive playing style, which allows them to perform without any additional technology, even in the smallest of settings. Jazz is played at jazz festivals, at house, yard and garden parties, in (jazz) pubs and coffee houses, for swing dancing, as a background band at vernissages and at private events of all kinds.
