It's that time again: Düsseldorfers are cleaning their city! Litter will be collected together on roadsides, in parks and pedestrian zones, on playgrounds and sports facilities - on the Dirt Away Day 2024. The Dirt Away Day is organized by the PRO DÜSSELDORF association in close cooperation with the city's environmental department and the waste disposal company AWISTA.

Although the city of Düsseldorf, together with AWISTA, does a lot to keep our beautiful city clean, there is unfortunately still far too much garbage that ends up in the environment. In order to get rid of this and make the city even more lovable and liveable, we launched the Dirt Away Day over 20 years ago. In the past, numerous tons of garbage have been collected as a result. It also teaches us and future generations to have a better understanding of environmental protection and sustainable action.

NEW 2024: USED GLASS IS COLLECTED SEPARATELY AND DISPOSED OF IN PUBLIC GLASS CONTAINERS.
