Drink & Draw im Antikenmuseum

Noch niemand hat sich das Event gemerkt.

In the organizer's words:

The Museum of Antiquities at the University of Leipzig invites you to an evening of drawing with refreshing drinks, including an event in the newly renovated Klinger Cabinet.

The Klinger Cabinet features, for example, ancient sculptures from the estate of the Leipzig artist Max Klinger (1857–1920). These objects, which were stored in the museum’s depot for a long time, are now on public display for the first time.

The ancient fragments and busts in the Museum of Antiquities inspire visitors to use their imagination to complete the objects’ original forms or to depict them through drawing. Participants will first receive a brief introduction to the Museum of Antiquities and the exhibits. Afterward, there will be ample time to explore the sculptures through drawing in a relaxed atmosphere under the professional guidance of Leipzig-based painter Petra Watzlawik.

No prior experience is required.

Drawing supplies and beverages will be provided.
