La Lucía & Mona Mi are a rap duo from Munich that emerged from the former hip-hop collective "ATP CREW" in 2021. Their German and Spanish lyrics often criticize patriarchal structures, life in a rich and gentrified metropolis, pressure to perform and repression. These are intermingled with longings, fears and thoughts about utopia, love, self-love, death and real freedom. Musically, the project moves between boom-bap/90s beats, trip-hop and grime.
