Drummer's Day: Rhythm Is a Dancer
Our lives are driven by rhythm—the heartbeat, the breath.
All around the sandbox, there are percussion instruments to help you join the session and get into the groove. If you don’t want to play along, you can dance in the sand in the middle, surrounded by various drums, bells, shakers, claves, oil drums—anything that makes percussive sounds can be used. Even beginners can try their hand at it in the group and get into the groove.
Depending on the week, we’ll focus on different rhythms, tempos, and dynamics.
There will be guests who will showcase their drumming skills and then lead us into a jam session.
Price information:
Depending on the guests, there may be an admission fee from time to time; admission is by donation, which means you decide for yourself how much the visit is worth to you and make your contribution to the Heilbar.
