A play about mother - child - relationships
by and with feminine fabric

Close your eyes. How much distance do you think is okay? How much distance can a child have from its own mother?

In "You have to love me", a daughter searches for answers to these questions. Her own memories seem increasingly unreliable. Which version of the past, of her own childhood, is true? In order to find answers, the daughter embarks on an inner process of negotiation: her own memories are now recognized as fact and used as rational evidence. But that is not enough, her own environment is also put to the test: How do mother-child relationships work there? What conclusions can be drawn from this? The new feminine fabric play is about mothers, children and the question of what these roles entail.

A daughter sets out in search of reliable answers, of certainties that may not exist. In her attempt to legitimize her own feelings, she gets lost in contradictions. Can there be a norm for interpersonal relationships?
