Dungeons & Dragons - beginners' evening at Meeple & Macchiato!

On this evening we open the gates to a fantastic world full of magic, luck of the dice and fateful decisions! We'll be playing an adventure in the current Dungeons & Dragons 2024 edition that has been specially developed for beginners: perfect for anyone who has always wanted to try out D&D or is simply in the mood for a special fantasy experience.

What is Dungeons & Dragons?

Dungeons & Dragons is a cooperative fantasy role-playing game in which you take on the role of heroes together with others. You make decisions, experience adventures, solve problems and actively shape the story. Whether brave, chaotic, clever or charming: in D&D, you decide... and a bit of luck with the dice.

The adventure:

Your band of heroes find themselves in the midst of a magical festival that attracts highly respected wizards and witches, magic enthusiasts and arcane skeptics alike from all corners of the continent. Once an annual spectacle, various "events" at the festival 10 years ago led to a lengthy break. A decade later, lessons have been learned from the mistakes of the past and the organizers are virtually certain that everything will go according to plan this time. And it certainly will.

The game will be played with pre-made characters so that you can get started straight away - without any preparation or knowledge of the rules. Dice will be provided, but you can also bring your own if you have them.

To make sure everyone feels comfortable at the table, we'll talk briefly about topics and boundaries before we start so that the adventure stays within a framework that feels good for everyone.

The evening will be led by Katti, who has led many beginner groups at events such as Gamescom, the Elbenwald Festival and the Free Roleplaying Days, and Mathis, an experienced Dungeon Master with a love for mischief and depth. The two also produce pen & paper content in various systems at "Against the Odds" (Instagram: @AgainsttheOddsDE) and "Natural One" (Instagram: @Natural_One_RPG). Look forward to an evening full of magic, shared adventures, unexpected twists and hero:inside moments - in a cozy café atmosphere and with two rounds, each experiencing a story together that can only happen once. Drinks and food can be purchased and sampled during the adventure.
