echoes - Stefan Brüggemann

In the organizer's words:

The Philara Collection is delighted to present echoes, Stefan Brüggemann's first institutional solo exhibition in Germany. His artistic practice is located in the dialog between language and visual expression. For example, the artist approaches the mechanisms of mass media, such as advertising and film, and explores the extent to which this can influence the perception of language as a system of signs and meanings.

The exhibition at the Philara Collection brings together works from the last fifteen years, including some of his key series, new small-format works on paper and spray paintings. The exhibition expands into an echo field full of reverberations in which the works resonate with each other conceptually, visually and linguistically.
