Dear dance community,

On Saturday, January 10, our first Ecstatic Dance of the year 2026 will take place in Frankfurt - this time we will once again play our favorite location in the heart of the city! We are really looking forward to filling the "Haus der Volksarbeit" in Frankfurt's city center with great music and movement.

We are delighted that our co-founder and resident DJ Svenski will be providing the music for the dance journey:

Three years ago, Sven aka Svenski founded the Ecstatic069 collective together with Jasmina and Luki, in which he has since regularly organized Ecstatic Dances and formats such as the "Ecstatic Day" with workshops and rituals. His first encounter with Ecstatic Dance in Berlin coincided with a period of personal upheaval and opened up a space of community, freedom and healing self-expression for him. Strongly inspired by Ecstatic Dance Berlin and MediTANZion, he now combines his passion for techno with a deep, emotional journey in which ecstasy finds just as much space as melancholy, anger or sadness. Stylistically, he moves across genres between ambient, healing sounds, dub, down- & midtempo, world music, techno, psytrance and DnB - always with a focus on tension, dynamics and a conscious play with energy and emotions.

Please be on time - because Doors Close at 7pm means that we won't let anyone in after 7pm so that we can start our opening circle without being disturbed.

Procedure:

As always, we start together in a circle and open the space together, which we will fill with our movement and the expression of our being. Basically, a few universal agreements apply to Ecstatic Dance:

• We dance sober and without the influence of alcohol or other intoxicants
• We refrain from speaking during the music
• We are mindful of each other and respect the boundaries of the other dancers
• We dance barefoot or with socks

After the opening circle, there will be a warm-up to help us arrive at ourselves and the space. We then move on to the 2-hour music and dance journey.

At the end there will be a short cool-down so that we can land gently and relaxed together.

Parking, arrival & other information

The parking situation around the location is difficult, so we recommend arriving by public transport or bicycle. If you want to come by car, plan enough time to find a parking space.

As always, we will provide snacks and tea for you on site - feel free to bring your water bottle and optionally a cup. Otherwise, come in comfortable clothes - whatever you feel comfortable in and so that you can move around easily. It doesn't hurt to bring warm socks or a blanket for the initial circle and the cool-down.
