Ecstatic Dance

In the organizer's words:

Dear dance community,

On Saturday, May 16, 2026, another Ecstatic Dance will take place in Frankfurt - in our favorite location in the heart of the city! We are looking forward to filling the "Haus der Volksarbeit" in Frankfurt's city center with music and movement.

Doors Close: 19:00
End approx. 22:15

Please be on time - because Doors Close at 7pm means that we won't let anyone in after 7pm so that we can start our opening circle without being disturbed.

Procedure:

As always, we start together in a circle and open the space together, which we will fill with our movement and the expression of our being. Basically, a few universal agreements apply to Ecstatic Dance:

• We dance sober and without the influence of alcohol or other intoxicants
• We refrain from speaking during the music
• We are mindful of each other and respect the boundaries of the other dancers
• We dance barefoot or with socks

After the opening circle, there will be a warm-up to help us arrive at ourselves and the space. The warm-up will help you to feel your body better and prepare you optimally for the Ecstatic Dance so that you can start the DJ set with a feeling of grounding in your body.

Then it's on to the approx. 2-hour music and dance journey. At the end, there will be a short cool-down so that we can land gently and relaxed together.

As always, we provide snacks and tea for you - feel free to bring your water bottle and optionally a cup.
