Edith Piaf was more than just the voice of France - she lived a life between passion, loss and an unshakeable belief in love.

Regina Steegmüller and Dieter Scheithe dedicate their musical and literary evening to the great chansonnière. Between classics such as "La vie en rose", "Milord" and "Non, je ne regrette rien", they unfold a journey through longing, ecstasy and melancholy. Jean Cocteau's one-act play "Der schöne Teilnahmslose" is also included - an intense play full of emotion.

The result is a multi-layered portrait of a woman who, despite poverty, illness and loss, never stopped singing about love - a hymn that still resonates today.
