In a musical and literary evening, Regina Steegmüller and Dieter Scheithe paint a touching portrait of Edith Piaf, the incomparable voice of French chanson.

Based on her autobiography and classics such as Milord, La vie en rose and Non, je ne regrette rien, they follow the passion and tireless search for love that characterized Piaf's life.

In a finely nuanced dialog, the two artists illuminate both cheerful and melancholy chapters of her love life. The evening is complemented by Jean Cocteau's one-act play "Der schöne Teilnahmslose", in which Steegmüller relives the emotional highs and lows of a loving woman, accompanied by Scheithe's haunting piano playing.

An evening about longing, vulnerability and the power of love - a tribute to a woman whose voice still resonates today.
