“Call It In” is the band’s first new music since their 2022 studio album *EBM* and was created during studio sessions between Tom Smith’s solo debut, *There Is Nothing In The Dark That Isn’t There In The Light*, and their ongoing live tour dates. Evolution has always been at the heart of EDITORS’ creative process—across seven studio albums. “Call It In” offers a first glimpse into the next chapter for one of Britain’s most significant bands.

Frontman Tom Smith on the new single: “We spent much of the summer of 2025 in rural Gloucestershire working on songs together—all of us in one room, in a more traditional band setup. ‘Call It In’ is one of the latest songs we’ve been working on. It’s a song about asking for help—finding comfort and security in someone close to you in the face of existential fear. An escape from the deafening noise of modern life.”

The track is being released via Play It Again Sam and is accompanied by a music video directed by guitarist Justin Lockey.
