The ippuku Onigiri Café at Martinstraße 13 invites you to its big anniversary celebration! OnFriday, June 26, the popular Japanese café in Leipzig’s Anger-Crottendorf neighborhood will celebrate its second anniversary.
Ippuku is known for its handmade onigiri, Japanese snacks, and an atmosphere where you can simply take a deep breath and enjoy the moment—just as the name promises: “いっぷく” means “to relax and pause” in Japanese. Since opening its location on Martinstraße, the café has not only served delicious food but has also built a whole community through workshops, pop-ups, concerts, markets, and izakaya nights.
To celebrate its anniversary, ippuku will open its doors from12:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.to anyone who wants to join the festivities. Expect special offers, signature drinks, DJ sets, and workshops, as well as relaxed get-togethers with the ippuku community.

Leipzig’s popular onigiri café “ippuku” is hosting a celebration to mark its 2nd anniversary!On Friday, June 26,the café at Martinstraße 13 will be open all day to spend a special time with the local community.
“ippuku” means “a breather”—that is, “taking a moment to enjoy the present.” Over the past year, the café has built a warm community in Leipzig through a variety of events, including workshops, markets, and izakaya-style gatherings.
The 2nd-anniversary party will feature special drinks, DJ sets, workshops, and more, and everyone—from first-time visitors to regulars—is warmly welcome.
