A special tour of the panoramic exhibition ANTARKTIS with Dr. Anette Küster, biologist at the Federal Environment Agency

Endless expanses, unique ecosystems and a nature that is both majestic and threatened - this raises the question: What does the work of a German environmental authority have to do with such a distant continent? And how do decisions in this country affect the delicate balance of the Antarctic?

The tour will help you to understand how scientific studies, environmental assessments and international cooperation contribute to the responsible management of human activities in the ice and the early detection of changes in the Antarctic. Particularly exciting: a look at selected exhibits in which the Federal Environment Agency has been involved - including real penguin eggs that have been tested for pollutants and reveal the extent of human impact. A guided tour that arouses curiosity, shows connections and makes the protection of this unique natural habitat tangible.
