Sommertheater: Eine Irische Tragikomödie - Das Kleingeld
In the organizer's words:
Summer Theater at the Beyerhaus—Open Air (Rain date available)
An Irish tragicomedy true to the motto “We laugh because we cry”!
Misfortunes happen all over the world. And when you’re blamed for a misfortune, and everyone says, “It’s your fault,” it can drive you to despair. And even further...
Am I really to blame? Because if I’d made different decisions and acted differently, this stroke of fate wouldn’t have happened. The protagonist, who normally solves his problems through boxing training, is grappling with questions like these. His friends are cut from the same cloth. Broken homes, no prospects for the future, and plenty of trouble with stressful types. For them, fists count for more than words. But those who settle their differences with their fists usually find it very hard to talk about their feelings.
On this particular day, everything escalates: He loses a handful of loose change, gets caught up in a mundane, idiotic code of honor, falls in love for the first time—only to mess it up right away… and it all starts with a burning mattress.
