In the organizer's words:
The important English music scholar Charles Burney undertook two journeys through Europe in 1770 and 1772 to collect material for a work of music history. The result was an extraordinarily informative travel diary that portrays many musicians of the time in an entertaining way.
The diary is an excitingly written, never-ending cultural-historical treasure trove - and not just for music lovers.
Maximilian von Mühlen reads from Charles Burney's "Diary of a Musical Journey", 1770 / 1772. Dagmar Lübking (organ) plays works by Marchand, Balbastre, Vivaldi, Scarlatti, Händel, J. S. Bach, C. Ph. E. Bach.
