Elder are coming back to Leipzig. For almost two decades, the band has been one of the most independent formations in heavy psychedelic rock: heavy, melodic, progressive, always on the move. Their early doom and stoner roots have long since evolved into a broad, detailed sound that combines riffs, krautrock, prog, floating atmospheres and great arcs of tension without losing its grounding.

Elder continue on this path with their new album "Through Zero". The album was recorded in Berlin in 2025 between tours and was produced by the band themselves and mixed together with long-time companion Richard Behrens. The album title describes a technical term from music and engineering: a point that is not understood as an end, but as a transition into a further, partly invisible course. This is exactly how Elder 2027 sounds: not nostalgic, not fixed, but a band that is constantly shifting its own language.

The support act will be Temple Fang from Amsterdam. In recent years, the band has built up a reputation as an intense live band whose concerts are never just played album versions, but long, open movements between heavy psych, space rock, prog and improvised energy. With "Lifted From The Wind", released on Stickman Records in 2025, Temple Fang have presented an album that they themselves see as their actual studio debut: wide, sprawling, but much more focused than previous releases. After appearances at Roadburn, Desertfest, Freak Valley, Sonic Whip and other festivals as well as extensive touring activities in 2025/2026, Temple Fang are now coming to UT Connewitz with Elder.
