The Hamburger Abendblatt praised the revival of John Neumeier's poignant ballet "Endstation Sehnsucht", based on Tennessee Williams' award-winning play, as "intimate, very modern and radical". The story of the fateful love triangle between Blanche DuBois, her sister Stella Kowalski and her husband Stanley unfolds against the darkly nostalgic backdrop of New Orleans in the 1940s. The ballet drama about broken dreams, loss, love and violence captivates with its powerful dramaturgy and emotional depth, allowing the audience to immerse themselves deeply in the inner conflicts and contradictions of the characters.
