With a radiant blend of R&B, soul, acoustic pop and gospel, the album opens up a new facet of her refined musicality and unique voice - borne of a newfound willingness to allow restraint to be as powerful as virtuosity.

In a deliberate departure from her previous work, Tori initially wrote the majority of the songs on the new album alone before entering the studio with sought-after producers and songwriters such as DIXSON (Kehlani, Vic Mensa), Nija Charles (Summer Walker, Kiana Ledé), Emily Warren (Dua Lipa, Noah Kahan) and Ammo (Beyoncé, Teddy Swims). Although the majority of the album was written in Los Angeles with her two main collaborators Tommy King (HAIM, Donna Missal) and Dan Farber (Lizzo, Alessia Cara), some songs were written during her European tour in summer 2025 with superstar Ed Sheeran.

Since her debut in the 2010s, the Californian singer has reached millions of people worldwide with releases such as "Unbreakable Smile" (2015), "Hiding Place" (2018), "Inspired by True Events" (2019), "A Tori Kelly Christmas" (2020) and "TORI." (2024) have touched millions of people worldwide.
