In the organizer's words:

This journey does not end at a train station, but at the truth

In the literary show Endstation Wahrheit, the studijo stage is transformed into a train compartment at the beginning of the 20th century. In historical costumes and a haunting atmosphere, we embark on a journey that takes us far beyond this era and deep into Leipzig's complex and often dark past. The focus is primarily on the lives of those who lived through history but are barely mentioned in it. These are often people outside the elite, including workers, orphans, seamstresses and other simple figures from the margins of society.

Endstation Wahrheit does not tell a linear story. Instead, we follow various life paths that lead through the past of Leipzig's history and tell of upheavals and new beginnings, of loss, violence and repressed chapters. Personal fates meet real historical events and reveal those shadows that often remain hidden.

Read and acted out scenically, the result is a dense, captivating production between historical research and artistic intensification. The boundaries are deliberately blurred and at the end the audience is asked: which of the events told are based on historical facts and which are the result of artistic license?

The resolution follows and with it the opportunity for those who have shown a keen sense to take home not only certainty but also special recognition.

What has been handed down? What has been embellished? And what is perhaps closer to the truth than it first appears?
