Erik Penny grew up in El Paso, Texas, where the mix of classic rock, alternative
classic rock, alternative, country, mariachi and grunge of the early
90s filled his head and ears with everything he wanted to incorporate into his songwriting.

He spent his 20s in LA, where he fought his way into some of the city's best singer-songwriter spots (most notably the Hotel Cafe, which featured

During his time in LA, he released two full-length albums
and two EPs on his own.
In 2008, he moved to Berlin, where he became even more serious: touring endlessly,

He has chosen a path that allows him to stay close to home with his wife and 2
children, he returned to school in 2016 to become a music therapist.
