If you make a slight typo on the keyboard and hit the neighboring "I" instead of the "U" as in Stucky, you get "Sticky" - and you're straight back to the legendary Rolling Stones album (the one with the famous zipper). If you go back to Stucky from there... you get the new program of their traditional end-of-year concert: STUCKY FINGERS. A cheeky homage to "Brown Sugar", "Dead Flowers" and "Wild Horses".
"Sticky Fingers" is considered one of the Rolling Stones' best albums. It is number 64 on the list of the 500 best albums according to "Rolling Stone" magazine. But that doesn't mean that it can't - perhaps - be done better. But certainly differently. Erika Stucky dares to try in her new program. Cover versions of well-known songs is one of her artistic characteristics. Erika Stucky explores the core of the song and tinkers not only with its structure but also with its soul. Her version of Brittney Spears' "Baby, One More Time" is legendary. She already drew on the Rolling Stones in her blues program and presented her version of "Can't you hear me knocking". And that she turns "Brown Sugar" into "Crowned Sugar" can be heard in a first short video here on YouTube. "Sticky Fingers" is reimagined through Stucky's unmistakable voice, humor and poetic subversion. She weaves jazz interludes, cabaret charm and a pinch of rock aesthetics into a kaleidoscopic, cinematic stage set. As always, her self-made Super8 films are also included.
