ernie g, the echo of an outsider with the scars of a restless youth.

Not music that wants to please, but must move. Leftfield music, inspired by the sound of the 90s and early 2000s. Raw, honest, unembellished.

Growing up in Zwickau between opposites, characterized by working class reality, he tried it in his adopted home Leipzig as a sideman and session musician and was on stage with acts such as Shelter Boy, BEACHPEOPLE, Uche Yara and Blush Always. He has played their songs and told their stories.

Now it's his turn - finally.

ernie g is the story of an artist characterized by the shame of not fitting in. A foreign body in his own background and a foreign body in his new world. A constantly recurring inner conflict. ernie g carries this in his music. He is a weirdo who thinks too loudly, feels too much and offends too often.

With his debut single "Allies" (release date: May 30, 2025), he speaks out for the first time.

Hard sample drums, shimmering guitars and sitar sounds in the middle that rise hypnotically from the mix. A psychedelic tune that is strongly reminiscent of the Madchester movement of the early 90s.

ernie g himself describes "Allies" as a moment of catharsis, born out of anger, shame and a deep desire for self-acceptance:

"The song wasa moment of coming to terms with myself and my conflict of the performative morality of many of my contemporaries*. I was angry, shaken by shame, but was ultimately able to overcome my own complexes through and with the song. And so I would like to pass the song on to you! As a hymn to triumph over oneself and one's own powerlessness. And an appeal for acceptance of the conscious separation from fellow human beings on whom you once bet everything, but in whom you were ultimately wrong. A fight to finally stand up for yourself."

ernie g is not looking for a place, he creates his own space. He is not an artist who chums up. He is the sound of people who learned early on to put up their own walls because they knew that the world out there is not always friendly. His music is an attempt to tear down these walls again. And to look honestly at yourself, at yourself and the scars you carry.
