To mark the start of Fair Trade Week, we invite you to get to know the diversity of the commitment to fair trade in Mannheim! Since 2012, Mannheim has been one of over 2,000 Fairtrade Towns worldwide that are committed to fair trade.
Fairtrade is more than just a label for socially fair working conditions and sustainable cultivation. We want to show how versatile and creative fair trade is in connecting people and the environment in a sustainable way - both globally and in our town. Come along and join in!
From 4 p.m.: hands-on program for young and old
- Hands-on activities: Test your knowledge of fair trade at the Center for Global Learning; interactively discover connections around globally sustainable nutrition with the Weltacker 2GO, playfully check your own ecological footprint, try out upcycling and much more.
- Action and information stands: Experience the diverse commitment to fair trade and get to know players such as the Weltladen Mannheim, the Local Green Deal of the City of Mannheim, the unpackaged stores grünkern and Priska's, the Slow Fashion Kleiderladen umgekrempelt, the RepairCafé of the ChristusFriedenGemeinde, the LÖRN coffee project of the Jugendakademie and others.
